We can’t be excited to announce a new version without an awesome GIF 😎

Oh, and don’t forget to update to the latest version. Here is how to update Chrome/Firefox extensions manually.

So what did we cook? 👨🏻‍🍳

In case you’ve missed our previous release note of v.2.19.0, we are going toward the web. We expect that with each new version, you’ll see that progress. Version 2.20.0 is definitely going in this direction!

Let’s go over some new stuff:

A complete new profile page 😬

From now on, your profile has its web URL so you can share it with other friends! Here’s how it looks like:

In your new profile page, you’ll be able to set:

  • Username handle
  • Profile picture
  • Bio
  • Twitter
  • GitHub
  • Your website
  • And a few other surprises

Introducing a new reputation system 👨🏻‍💻

Reputation is a rough measurement of how much the community trusts you; it is earned by getting positive feedback (as upvotes) from other community members on comments you post.

You’ll be able to see it on your profile and in the top left corner of your daily.dev extension as well:

How can you earn reputation points? 🌈

That’s a great question, and we got you covered with a complete guide on What is reputation? How do I earn it?

In this post, you can learn about:

  • What is reputation?
  • How do I earn reputation points?
  • How to make your comments useful?
  • Why should you care about your reputation points?

That’s it for now. 🎉 We have more exciting things headed up your way!
In the meantime, we’d love to hear what you think about this version, so make sure you shout out to us on Twitter using the @daildotdev handle.
