Use it with your agent

First, connect your agent to daily.dev. In Claude Code, run:

`claude mcp add --transport http daily.dev https://api.daily.dev/mcp`

Using Cursor, Codex or another agent? Follow the [MCP setup guide](https://docs.daily.dev/mcp-server/) or [create an API token](/settings/api). Then paste this prompt:

`Read https://api.daily.dev/public/v1/plugins/IGRhuaPoT/skill.md and follow it using my daily.dev API token.`

Keeping up with a topic usually means checking the same handful of places every day and still missing the one post that mattered. Interest Agent hands that job to the agent you already use.

## What it does

You say what you want to follow, in plain words: "new Zig projects and compiler changes, no beginner tutorials". The agent turns it into a short brief, finds the daily.dev tags and sources that carry it, and confirms the brief with you in one sentence.

When you ask for a catch-up, it searches daily.dev from several angles, checks the tags and sources from the brief, and uses your agent's web search for primary sources like release notes and announcements. It judges every candidate against the brief, skips what it already showed you, and writes a short note: the picks, why each one matters, and how they connect. Some days the honest answer is "nothing new", and it says so.

## It learns your taste

Tell it "less of this" or "more like that" and it remembers, in a small file on your machine. Your preferences, the brief and what it already delivered carry over to the next conversation. Follow several interests at once and catch up on all of them or just one.

## A feed that stays in step

Optionally, the agent creates a daily.dev custom feed for the interest, or links one you already have, and keeps its tags and sources tuned from your feedback. Your interest then has a home in daily.dev, ranked by daily.dev, even when your agent is not running.

## How to use it

Point your agent at this plugin's SKILL.md and say what you want to follow: "Follow Rust async runtimes and the Tokio ecosystem." Later: "What is new on my interests?" Schedule the catch-up if your agent supports it.

## What it needs

The daily.dev MCP server or a personal access token. If your agent is not connected yet, it walks you through adding the MCP server for your client; there is nothing to install and you sign in with daily.dev. Read access is enough for catch-ups; add write access if you want the agent to create and tune a feed. A catch-up uses up to about 30 API requests per interest, which fits the free tier for a weekly catch-up on one or two interests. daily.dev Plus raises the limit.

## Built with

The daily.dev public API: search, tag and source feeds, posts and comments, custom feeds and feed filters.
