They built custom Kubernetes operators to safely manage stateful workloads, coordinate node replacements, and maintain quorum during failures. Using AWS EBS for persistent storage, PVCs for volume management, and techniques like replica reads and stale reads, they mitigated latency issues while maintaining consistency.
