Berkeley AI Research (BAIR) Lab celebrates its 2026 PhD graduating class. The cohort's research spans large language models and reasoning, robotics and embodied intelligence, computer vision, generative modeling, AI safety, human-AI interaction, and AI for healthcare and science. Graduates are heading to faculty positions at UCLA, Princeton, and University of Chicago, industry research labs including OpenAI, Google DeepMind, Anthropic, Waymo, and xAI, as well as founding their own startups. Several graduates are still actively seeking research scientist and faculty positions.
