A developer built a VS Code extension purely out of spite after a coworker questioned why they weren't using a dark theme. Instead of spending four seconds changing the theme via settings, they spent hours building, packaging, and publishing an extension that forces everything to black. The extension now has 45 installs on the VS Code marketplace, and the author has no idea who installed it or why.
