Blender 5.2 LTS has been released on July 14, 2026, with two years of long-term support until July 2028. Major highlights include node-based physics for hair and cloth simulations, a new Mesh Bevel node, geometry bundles for carrying data across modifier boundaries, and a Texture Cache in Cycles for reduced memory usage. EEVEE gains a 2x speed-up in instance-heavy scenes, screen-space raytracing overhaul, and numerous rendering fixes. The Compositor receives 35 new nodes and six new socket types. Online asset libraries allow hosting and browsing thousands of assets without increasing Blender's install size. Grease Pencil gets a new Delaunay fill algorithm and performance improvements. The Video Sequencer adds compositor effect strips, text style presets, and HDR scope support. Animation and rigging see new playback loop modes and improved F-Curve tools. Sculpt mode gains an Add Primitive tool and Scene Project brush. The Python API is expanded with new image-buffer access, RNA properties for Geometry Nodes modifier inputs, and more.
