Elecrow's ThinkNode G4 is a $54 Wi-Fi HaLow gateway based on a Mediatek MT7628N MIPS processor and Quectel FGH100M module (Morse Micro MM6108 chipset). It supports IEEE 802.11ah with up to 32.5 Mbps data rate and 1–2 km range, alongside 2.4 GHz WiFi 4 and 10/100 Mbps Ethernet. It can operate as an AP, STA, or 802.11s Mesh node, and runs a Morse Micro fork of OpenWrt with a LuCI-based UI. The antenna is tuned for 902–928 MHz (Americas, Southeast Asia, Australia), so European users may need a replacement. Target use cases include remote cameras, industrial automation, smart home/city, and rural internet access. Its main differentiator over similar products like HalowLink 2 is its lower price point.
