# 7.25.0 Released: Safari bugfixes and duplicated named capturing groups · Babel

## Summary

Babel 7.25.0 introduces support for duplicated named capturing groups in regular expressions, a fix for class field issues in Safari, and improvements for JSON module imports to CommonJS. The support for duplicated named capturing groups allows re-using the same name for groups within alternative branches of a regex. Additionally, the update includes a new package to handle class field initializer issues in Safari versions up to 16. Configuration files are also now supported in @babel/node's --eval mode.
