# I wrote up a guardrail-loop pattern: LLM draft -> structured facts -> selected inspection -> repair packet -> revised answer -> inspect again.

Curious where others draw the line between prompts, schemas, rules, solvers, and probabilistic checks.

## Summary

LLMs can produce fluent but logically flawed answers that violate preconditions — like recommending walking to a car wash without moving the car. A hybrid reasoning architecture addresses this by converting LLM outputs into structured facts, then routing them through appropriate inspection mechanisms: CLIPS for rule violations, Solver/Z3 for feasibility constraints, ZEN for policy decision tables, and Bayesian networks for uncertain evidence. The key insight is that the repair loop must re-inspect the corrected answer, not just accept it. Four concrete scenarios (car-wash, coupon-stacking, pallet-door, cold-chain) illustrate how different guardrail types suit different failure classes. The nxusKit framework implements this as composable, pluggable components rather than a monolithic prompt or single rule engine.
