The prototype measures just 43×26×28mm — roughly the size of a wine cork — and can prepare teeth according to a digital plan with a positional error of less than 0.2mm, even without onboard sensors. It operates in two drilling steps and keeps forces below 5 newtons. Future development will add sensors and a camera for real-time position monitoring.
