MelodyMatrix, a desktop piano practice app, received two major updates: a completely rebuilt website and a new 1.1.0 app release. The old Spring Boot + Vaadin site was split into a static multilingual Hugo site (8 languages, deployed to GitLab Pages) for the public-facing pages, while Vaadin was retained for account management and the REST API. The Hugo site was built using AI-assisted coding with Theia IDE and the Claude API, following a disciplined approach of small, scoped tasks. MelodyMatrix 1.1.0 adds an audio spectrum view, falling/rising note blocks in the Piano view, improved sync, i18n support, and an improved MIDI view. The Viewers module remains open source and packages are distributed via jDeploy through GitHub Releases.
