A performance comparison of 11 Consent Management Platforms (CMPs) measuring their impact on Interaction to Next Paint (INP), a Core Web Vitals metric. Sourcepoint ranked first with a median INP of just 6ms, largely due to its iframe-based implementation that avoids main thread blocking. Google Funding Choices ranked last with a median INP of 468ms, with one site hitting 1,549ms. The analysis reveals that iframe-based consent banners consistently outperform DOM-rendered ones, while heavy JavaScript and forced reflows are the primary causes of slow interactions. Individual results for Cookiebot, CookieYes, Didomi, OneTrust, Osano, TrustArc, Usercentrics, Quantcast, and Termly are also covered.
