Singapore-based startup Acti has launched an AI-powered keyboard for iOS and Android that embeds AI agents directly into the smartphone keyboard, enabling users to take actions across apps without switching between them. Powered by Google's Gemini models, the keyboard features customizable 'Skills' — programmable shortcuts created in plain language that can trigger multi-step tasks like translating messages or sharing meeting links. The app uses a local-first privacy model, keeping personal context on-device by default. Acti also announced a $5.3 million seed round led by BITKRAFT Ventures. The founder previously grew Baidu's Facemoji Keyboard to 300 million daily active users.
