# Adfin raises $18m Series A from Index Ventures for agentic business finance

## Summary

London fintech Adfin has raised $18m in a Series A round led by Index Ventures, bringing total funding to over $30m in under two years. The company builds an agentic money-movement platform for SMEs that automates invoice chasing, reconciliation, and payment clearing using AI workflows layered on proprietary payment infrastructure. Adfin claims its customers experience late-payment rates 7x lower than the UK SME average (9% vs ~63%). The funding will support expansion into end-to-end cashflow management, engineering and sales hiring, and international growth. Co-founders Tom Pope and Ciprian Diaconasu bring deep payments experience from Worldpay, Tink, and Mambu.
