AI-native engineering evolution toward an Agentic Development Life Cycle redefines each phase. Delegating the work to AI Agents and workflows is the ultimate goal and human/developer will handle the policies, guardrails, best practices and approvals. This way, you don’t need to give full authority to Agents.
Developers just need the intent/prompt of what they like to build and agents take care of the rest. This is the future of software. I believe many of us are already using AI coding assistants like Claude code, Codex, Copilot, Cursor, etc but how about extending the same to code review, testing, CI/CD, monitoring and incident management. Every step will be handles by agents but monitored by humans/developers.

We need to find out where to contribute in person.
Delegation might be useful when we rise efficiency and productivity. But the more we delegate to others, the less productive we become ourselves.
Agentic SDLC might be the future of IT industry, but not for IT engineers.

Interesting perspective. AI is becoming more than a coding assistant, it’s evolving into a partner across the entire SDLC. Human oversight will still be key. 🚀

Enterprise software is not fit for these kinds of ideas. There are more tradeoffs and limitations that AI cannot and will not substitute in the near future time
