Running Claude Code in dangerously-skip-permissions mode (with full data access) is presented as the key to unlocking maximum automation value, though the author acknowledges the significant blast radius that comes with unrestricted access. ## Content Agentic engineering is mostly focused on coding, obviously. But coding agents can do a lot more than that, and honestly this is my favorite use case of all. Coding is what I love doing, even though I rarely do it anymore, so letting it go was bittersweet. As a dev, there's a ton of ops work I have to deal with, and now I try to offload it to agents. This is where it gets controversial. I usually run Claude Code in dangerously-skip-permissions mode **(use at your own risk)** to help me out with all sorts of things: - Production incident? Help me figure out why the database is overloaded. - Identify spam and abuser accounts. - Find relevant blogs we can add to the platform. - Debug and analyze production data. - Monitor sensitive deployments. - Cloud cost optimization. The sky's the limit. The more data the agent can access, the better the automation and workflows it can build for you. The blast radius grows exponentially too. But I don't limit access at all, because that's how I get maximum value.
