As per my experience, I found that AI can reach certain levels, but the human mind will always be needed to boost the AI with exact problem and get it's solution. Recently, I got into one bug that totally changed my thoughts for the AI, I used the "fable 5" as well but it was of no use. AI failing on one difficult bug does not mean it cannot replace parts of debugging. I have had bugs where AI found the issue in minutes. The reason models struggle with runtime bugs is usually not reasoning, it is that the evidence is not in the context. It cannot see your actual heap, the request that triggered the failure, or the state three calls back. When I hand over a real trace plus a repro it does fine; when I paste the file and describe the symptom it guesses.
