Amazon Bedrock AgentCore Memory now supports strictly consistent metadata for long-term memory records. Previously, metadata values were inferred by the LLM during extraction. With the new STRICTLY_CONSISTENT extraction type, developers can attach metadata values directly from their application, ensuring those values pass through extraction and consolidation unchanged. This feature also controls event grouping — events with the same metadata values are extracted and consolidated together, while records with different values are never merged. Use cases include department-scoped retrieval, compliance boundaries, and multi-tenant memory isolation. Up to three strictly consistent keys per strategy are supported across semantic, user preference, and episodic strategies. The feature is available in all AWS Regions where AgentCore Memory is supported.
