The feature enables indexing and searching vector embeddings in real time with single-digit millisecond latency at 99%+ recall, designed to scale to trillions of vectors. Vectors are stored alongside other DynamoDB attributes, with support for approximate nearest neighbor (ANN) searches, attribute filtering, and custom partition keys for scaling. The feature retains DynamoDB's serverless model — no infrastructure management, zero downtime, and pay-per-use pricing. Use cases include AI agent memory with semantic retrieval, RAG pipelines, product similarity search, personalized advertising, and recommendation systems.
