EFA configuration allows interfaces to be set as EFA-only or standard ENI on EFA-capable instances, avoiding IP address consumption and maximizing interconnect bandwidth. Placement group support enables cluster, spread, or partition strategies directly from node pool configuration, giving fine-grained control over physical instance distribution.
