Amazon FSx for OpenZFS Intelligent-Tiering storage class is now available in 8 new AWS Regions including US West (N. California), several European regions, Asia Pacific (Hyderabad, Seoul), and South America (São Paulo). The Intelligent-Tiering class automatically moves data across three tiers (Frequent Access, Infrequent Access, Archive) based on access patterns, with an optional SSD read cache for active data. It targets general-purpose file workloads like file shares, archives, and media libraries, offering up to 85% savings vs FSx SSD and up to 20% savings vs on-premises HDD NAS.
