Amazon has launched 'Alexa for Shopping,' a new personalized AI shopping assistant integrated into the Amazon search bar, powered by Alexa+. It replaces the previous Rufus assistant and offers voice- and touch-enabled experiences across mobile, desktop, and Echo Show devices. The assistant leverages purchase history and preferences to provide tailored recommendations, compare products, track prices, schedule recurring orders, and even autonomously purchase items from third-party retailers via a 'Buy for Me' feature. The launch follows Amazon's recent 30-minute delivery service rollout and other AI-powered shopping features.
