Developers can now control address component name formatting via a new AddressNamesMode parameter (matched, normalized, or administrative), override behavior per component with AddressNamesVariant, and retrieve place name translations in 50+ languages using AddressTranslations. A new TravelMode parameter optimizes search results for navigation and in-vehicle use cases. The GetPlace, Suggest, SearchNearby, and SearchText APIs now return a DriveThrough attribute indicating whether a location offers drive-through service. The Geocode API also gains a Parsing.AdditionalInfo response field for additional address interpretation detail.
