Long polling lets you retrieve SQL statement metadata or results without repeated polling by delaying the response until the statement completes, using a new WaitTimeSeconds parameter. ListSessions allows applications to enumerate and filter active sessions by status, compute target, or database, removing the need to track session IDs externally. Flexible batch execution adds an AUTO_COMMIT mode to BatchExecuteStatement so each SQL statement in a batch runs independently, meaning a single failure no longer rolls back the entire batch — useful for ETL pipelines and admin scripts. BatchExecuteStatement also now accepts an array of SqlParameter for parameter reuse across all statements.
