Amazon S3 Storage Lens is now available in AWS GovCloud (US) Regions, providing organization-wide visibility into storage usage and activity. The service offers metrics to optimize storage costs by identifying incomplete multipart uploads and non-current object versions, helps ensure data protection best practices like Cross-Region Replication and Versioning, and includes performance metrics to detect inefficient access patterns and reduce latency. Free metrics with 14 days of historical data are available by default, with advanced metrics offering up to 15 months of data retention.
