Throne and Liberty transitions from Amazon Game Studios to NC's own publishing services (working with FirstSpark Games) by end of Q4 2026, while Lost Ark returns to Smilegate by early 2027. This follows Amazon's broader retreat from AAA game development, including ending active development on New World: Aeternum, downscaling Luna, shutting down King of Meat, and dropping a racing title from Maverick Games. ## Full article daily.dev links to this article rather than hosting it.
