AMD has begun submitting graphics driver changes to DRM-Next for the Linux 7.3 kernel cycle. Key additions include compute pipe reset support for RDNA3 (GFX11) and RDNA4 (GFX12) hardware, UserQ updates, RAS updates, DisplayID panel type parsing, DCN 4.2 IP updates, and GFX 11.7 updates for the RDNA 4m GPU. Code hardening improvements include better bounds checking for vBIOS parsing and CRIU boundary checking in AMDKFD. Valve's Timur Kristóf contributed soft reset and GPU recovery improvements for early Radeon GCN GPUs. The AMDKFD driver also gains an opt-out for SIGBUS on fatal errors, with ROCm already prepared for this change.
