AMD Quietly Funded A Drop-In CUDA Implementation Built On ROCm: It's Now Open-Source

AMD quietly funded a drop-in CUDA implementation built on ROCm, which is now open-source. The implementation allows many NVIDIA CUDA applications to run on AMD ROCm stack without modifying the source code. However, it has some limitations, such as incomplete NVIDIA OptiX support and inability to handle software not using PTX assembly code.
