# AMD Quietly Funded A Drop-In CUDA Implementation Built On ROCm: It's Now Open-Source

AMD quietly funded a drop-in CUDA implementation built on ROCm, which is now open-source. The implementation allows many NVIDIA CUDA applications to run on AMD ROCm stack without modifying the source code.
