Amiga And Commodore, Back Together (Sort Of)

Amiga Corporation has reached agreements with Commodore International Corporation and Hyperion Entertainment BV, clarifying the fragmented IP landscape of the Commodore and Amiga brands. Under the deals, Commodore International Corporation gains a license to 8-bit Commodore IP (including C64 software and documentation), Hyperion retains rights to continue AmigaOS 4.x development, and AmigaOS 3.x rights for 68k Amigas will revert to Amiga Corporation at the end of 2027. This opens the door for potential new 68k Amiga hardware and continued development of the classic platform.
