Rikomagic has announced the DS04, a 4K digital signage player running Android 14 on a Rockchip RK3576 octa-core processor with 4GB RAM and 32GB storage. It is a cost-reduced alternative to the RK3588-based DS08, retaining dual HDMI 2.1 ports, Gigabit Ethernet, WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, optional 4G LTE, RTC, watchdog, and scheduled power on/off for 24/7 operation. Key trade-offs include lower RAM/storage, 4K-only output (vs 8K on DS08), and one fewer USB 3.0 port. The device features a fanless aluminum case and is expected to sell for around $200+ on AliExpress.
