New features in this release include the ability to disable sudo access for job runs, improved source code overwrite detection covering all file types including IaC files, and security alerts via Slack or email. Adopted by over 400 open-source projects including those from Microsoft and Google, Harden Runner is positioned as an EDR-like solution for GitHub Actions pipelines.
