# Announcing new builds for 31 July 2026

## Summary

Microsoft released new Windows 11 Insider Preview builds on July 31, 2026 across Beta and Experimental channels. All builds include renewed Windows Insider flight certificates, which must be installed before the current certificate expires on August 11, 2026. Notable new features include an Adaptive Hibernate Policy in the Experimental channel (less hibernation above 80% battery, earlier hibernation below 10%), and Taskbar improvements now rolling out to Beta: the ability to reposition the taskbar to the top, left, or right of the screen, and a new smaller taskbar option for users who want more screen space.
