The Python Software Foundation announced 17 nominees running for the 5 open seats on the inaugural Python Packaging Council (PPC). Voting members must affirm their intention to vote by August 25th, 2:00 pm UTC, and voting runs from September 1st to September 15th, 2026. The two top vote-getters form Cohort A with two-year terms, while the next three form Cohort B with one-year terms.
