Steve Jarrett, Orange's chief AI officer since 2019, is joining Anthropic in Paris on 25 August to help the company adapt its products for European and African markets. The hire is part of Anthropic's accelerating European expansion, which recently included opening a sixth European office in Milan. Orange has already named a successor, Usman Javaid, effective 1 September. The move reflects Anthropic's strategy of recruiting senior talent from the enterprise buyer side to strengthen its regional go-to-market efforts, as the company prepares to go public and aims to triple its international workforce.
