Anthropic is set to brief the Financial Stability Board (FSB), chaired by Bank of England Governor Andrew Bailey, on cybersecurity vulnerabilities discovered by its unreleased Mythos AI model. Mythos has reportedly identified thousands of high-severity flaws across major operating systems and browsers, succeeding in developing working exploits on the first attempt in over 83% of cases during internal testing. The briefing will be delivered to G20 finance ministries and central banks, marking the first coordinated global financial-supervision response to the model. Access to Mythos is currently restricted to roughly 40–50 organizations under 'Project Glasswing', including AWS, Apple, Google, Microsoft, and JPMorgan. The FSB session will be the first time regulators from multiple jurisdictions collectively address what Mythos's findings mean for the global financial system's attack-defense balance.
