The model outperforms Fable 5 on most coding and knowledge-work benchmarks, including Frontier-Bench (where it more than doubles its predecessor's score), ARC-AGI 3 (roughly 3x better than the next-best model), and Zapier AutomationBench. It is also Anthropic's most aligned model to date, with the lowest recorded rate of deceptive behavior. Opus 5 is available via Claude Max, Claude Pro, and through the API on Amazon Bedrock, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Foundry. Two new API features ship alongside it: mid-conversation tool changes and automatic fallbacks.
