Anthropic puts Claude inside Slack as a tagable co-worker

Anthropic has launched Claude Tag, an AI agent integrated directly into Slack that users can summon by typing '@Claude' in any thread. The agent can read conversations, break down tasks, and proactively surface relevant updates across an organization. It retains context over time and is available in beta for Claude Enterprise and Claude Team customers. Administrators can control what data and tools Claude Tag can access per channel. Anthropic plans to expand the capability to other platforms soon. The launch comes as Anthropic's valuation has reached $965 billion, surpassing OpenAI, and the company has filed confidentially for an IPO.
