Anthropic is set to brief the Financial Stability Board (FSB), including leading finance ministries and central banks, on cyber vulnerabilities identified by its new Mythos AI model. The briefing follows a request by Bank of England Governor Andrew Bailey, who warned that Mythos could pose major security risks by detecting decades-old vulnerabilities in web browsers, infrastructure, and software. Cybersecurity experts have raised concerns that the system could enable more sophisticated cyberattacks, particularly threatening the banking sector's legacy technology systems.
