Antmicro has released an open-source hardware Thunderbolt to dual 10GbE adapter as a reference design. It uses an Intel X710-AT2 Ethernet controller for two 10GbE RJ45 ports and an Intel JHL6340 Thunderbolt 3 controller (PCIe Gen3 x4). Testing showed 9.4 Gbps full-duplex on one port and 2x 5.5 Gbps on both ports simultaneously, with power consumption under 9W. KiCad PCB project files and documentation are available on GitHub under Apache License 2.0. This is Antmicro's third open-source Thunderbolt platform, following GPU and PCIe adapters released last December. The designs are not mass-produced but serve to promote Antmicro's hardware customization services.
