API Evangelist Scores 83% Agent-Ready — And the Last 17% Doesn't Apply

Cloudflare released a new tool called isitagentready.com that scans websites for agent-readiness conventions and scores them out of 100. Running it against apievangelist.com returned 83 (Level 5, Agent-Native). The site scored 100% on discoverability (robots.txt, RFC 8288 Link headers, sitemap), content (markdown content negotiation via Cloudflare Worker), and bot access control (explicit AI bot permissions and Content Signals). It scored 4/6 on API/Auth/MCP discovery, passing RFC 9727 API catalog, MCP server cards, Agent Skills index, and WebMCP checks, but missing two OAuth discovery checks. The author argues those OAuth checks don't apply since the site has no protected resources — publishing fake OAuth metadata would lower trust rather than raise it. The remaining gaps are a Web Bot Auth directory (a quick fix) and Agent Skills v0.2.0 field shape updates. The post advocates for standards-based agent discoverability where third-party scanners and agents read the same well-known paths.
