New features include age-based safeguards on setup, smart app suggestions, website browsing controls via 'Ask to Browse' (on by default for under-13s), contact management, and text message content filtering. Screen time recommendations are now informed by the American Academy of Pediatrics. Developers also get new APIs to help enforce age-appropriate content.
