Amazon Application Recovery Controller (ARC) Region switch now includes three new execution blocks: Amazon Aurora serverless scaling, Amazon Aurora provisioned scaling, and Amazon Neptune global database failover. These blocks automate database right-sizing and failover orchestration for multi-Region workloads. Aurora global database customers running active-passive configurations can now automatically scale secondary clusters to production capacity during failover, eliminating manual steps that previously added minutes to recovery time. Neptune customers get automated handling of both planned switchover and unplanned failover scenarios without custom scripting. All three blocks support cross-account orchestration across multiple AWS accounts and Regions.
