AssuranceAmerica, a U.S. auto insurance provider, has disclosed a data breach affecting nearly 7 million drivers. Attackers gained access to company systems on March 16, 2026, by targeting an employee's credentials. Stolen data includes names, contact details, driver's license numbers, vehicle and insurance policy information, and claims-related data. The breach was detected on March 17, and a file review completed June 15 confirmed the scope. The company has since disabled compromised credentials, isolated affected systems, notified law enforcement, and implemented enhanced monitoring. Affected customers are advised to monitor their financial accounts for suspicious activity.
