Bits Detection is a new Datadog feature that autonomously creates, tunes, and maintains monitors for services. Rather than relying on static thresholds, it uses telemetry, deployment history, ownership metadata, and production behavior to determine which endpoints need coverage and what healthy behavior looks like. It continuously updates coverage as services evolve, addressing the common problem of monitoring drift caused by frequent code changes. When issues are detected, it connects to investigation and remediation workflows to reduce mean time to detection and recovery.
