Anomaly detection uses ML-powered time-series forecasting to identify unexpected changes in data statistics—such as row count spikes or drops in distinct values—without requiring explicit threshold rules. Evaluation results including rule outcomes, profiling metrics, and anomaly predictions with confidence bounds are stored as queryable GDC tables accessible via standard SQL.
