AWS HealthOmics now caches completed task outputs from cancelled workflow runs, storing them in the customer's S3 bucket. This allows researchers and bioinformaticians to restart runs from the point of cancellation rather than recomputing all tasks from scratch. The feature supports Nextflow, WDL, and CWL workflows and is available across all AWS HealthOmics regions. It reduces compute costs and speeds up iterative workflow development by preserving intermediate outputs for inspection and reuse.
