Socket is now available through the AWS Security Hub Extended plan, allowing AWS customers to adopt supply chain security tooling using committed AWS spend with no new procurement cycle. Socket analyzes behavioral patterns of open source packages across npm, PyPI, Maven, Go, NuGet, and RubyGems to catch malicious packages that signature-based tools miss. Two products are available: Socket Firewall, which blocks malicious packages at install time, and Socket SCA for dependency visibility. A new usage-based pricing model bills on unique artifacts checked per month rather than bandwidth or install counts, and the first month is free.
