Axios was hacked

On March 31st, Axios was compromised via a sophisticated social engineering attack. The attacker impersonated a company founder using a cloned identity and set up a convincing fake Slack workspace. The victim was invited to a Microsoft Teams meeting where they were prompted to install a supposed update that turned out to be a Remote Access Trojan (RAT), giving attackers hidden remote control over the victim's computer.
