Azure Private Link for Elastic Cloud Serverless is now generally available

Azure Private Link is now generally available for Elastic Cloud Serverless as of August 4, 2026. This allows Azure workloads to connect to Serverless projects over Azure's private network backbone without exposing Elastic endpoints to the public internet. A private connection policy is required (unlike AWS where it's optional), and Elastic auto-approves connections when VNets are whitelisted. IP filters and private endpoints can coexist on the same project. The feature is included at no extra charge for specific subscription tiers, and projects created before August 4, 2026 are grandfathered regardless of tier. Azure joins AWS PrivateLink (available since February 2026) as the second cloud provider to reach GA for this capability.
